Penumbra Theatre Company was founded in 1976 by Artistic Director
Lou Bellamy. Since that time, Penumbra has added an important
dimension of cultural and artistic experience to the state of
Minnesota. For nearly a quarter of a century, the company has
developed programs and productions which are both proactive

our community as it prepares for a more pluralistic and culturally

It is in this same tradition that the Penumbra Theater dedicates
the 2003-2004 season to the future of "world" theater, with premier
productions from some of today's brightest emerging stars.
